So much for Mark Meadows

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When Mark Meadows wasn’t included in the six co-conspirators that Jack Smith listed in Donald Trump’s January 6th indictment, it felt a lot like Meadows must have cut some kind of cooperation deal with the Feds. We still don’t know if that’s the case. But logically speaking, if you’re being criminally targeted for the same crime spree by federal and state prosecutors, if you cut a deal with one prosecutor, you’d presumably cut a deal with the others. But as we keep being reminded, there isn’t much that’s ever been logical about Mark Meadows.

Mark Meadows was criminally indicted tonight in Fulton County, Georgia. This means that he did not cooperate, or did not sufficiently cooperate, with DA Fani Willis. He’s someone who possibly could have gotten immunity in Georgia simply by fully cooperating, but he stupidly didn’t do that.

The fact that Meadows sat there and got himself indicted in Georgia raises serious questions about what’s going on with Meadows and the Feds. Did Meadows make the bizarre decision to cooperate with Jack Smith but not Fani Willis? Or is Meadows also getting indicted by Jack Smith? In any case, what we’re seeing tonight is what we’ve been consistently seeing for a very long time: Mark Meadows is an idiot.
