So much for Dr. Fauci

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $2097 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer
Palmer Report

Earlier today Donald Trump leaked to the New York Times that he was angry at Dr. Fauci for daring to correct him. Then we saw a Vanity Fair expose which revealed that Trump has begun siding with the, ahem, expert medical advice of Jared Kushner, instead of listening to Fauci.

We were wondering if Dr. Fauci would even be at today’s press conference. It turns out he’s not on stage. We’re far enough into this briefing that we don’t think he’s going to magically pop out of a cake or something. Fauci simply isn’t there. He wasn’t there yesterday either, but we did see him pop up in some media interviews, so there was some hope that he was merely missing yesterday because he was otherwise engaged.

But as of today Dr. Fauci has missed two Trump press conferences in a row. This doesn’t mean he’s been fired or kicked off the team; as usual, the chaotic Trump regime hasn’t offered any official information about what’s really going on here. But at the least, Fauci has either been benched for now, or he’s benched himself. This is not a good look for Trump at all.
