So Merrick Garland has been doing his job after all

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Hope is more than a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. It’s more because hope is an emotion. And we always need to have it and hold it close. When one stops hoping, one can find themselves lost. Palmer Report has never given up hope where Merrick Garland is concerned. Neither have some of our readers (You know who you are!) Thank you for keeping hope alive. And now you see that out of your hope, a new picture has emerged.

The picture is fresh and murmurs with life. And it is strong and vibrant — it is a picture of raw honesty. It is the Justice department being unafraid, which they have always been. But now you can see the picture clearly.

AG Garland has never, I doubt, been afraid of prosecuting a case in his life. His record speaks for itself in that regard. And now we are hearing the excited whispers which have turned into the roars of lions — as excited people trill excitedly about what might be happening.

One of those people is former Federal Prosecutor Renato Mariotti. He says on Twitter there are strong signs that the focus of the investigation is on Donald Trump. Mariotti also speculated it is possible the DOJ is moving even faster now because of Judge Carter’s comments recently that it was “more likely than not” Trump committed a crime.

I just hope you remember these heady days. This is because sometimes people are quick to forget. And all this won’t happen overnight. I do not expected that, and you shouldn’t either.

But I do hope you will spread the word. We need all our voices to join in the blue wave, and we need everybody humanly possible to vote. Voting is the way we win. Voting is our cure-all. Voting is the stuff that moves mountains. So we need to spread the joy and get people out, out, out to the polls! Then we win it all.
