Donald Trump sniffs his way through disastrous press conference
Each time Donald Trump holds another press conference, he humiliates himself yet again, and his ugly poll numbers continue to get uglier. But Trump loves doubling down on a losing strategy once he sees it’s not working, so he’s out there babbling in front of the cameras again today.
As is increasingly the case during his public appearances, Trump sounded listless and half dead today while tepidly stumbling his way through a prepared script that he’s clearly never seen before. At one point he appeared to refer to Dr. Deborah Birx as “Dr. Birk,” continuing his recent streak of not being able to recognize words when he sees them written down in his script. As usual, his script was jam packed with too many lies to track.
Notably, Trump has been sniffing more than usual during the early portions of his press briefing today. Some observers believe this is a sign that Trump is nervous or rattled, while other observers suggest it’s a result of Trump sniffing a certain substance before he takes the stage. In any case, Trump isn’t helping himself with these lifeless press briefings – at all.
