What Robert Mueller has up his sleeve

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has known for at least a month that Donald Trump was going to fire Attorney General Jeff Sessions after the election and replace him with Matthew Whitaker, because Trump leaked that exact plan to the media a month ago. If Mueller were worried about life after Sessions, he’d have made his big move against Trump before the election instead of waiting until after the election. But it’s now clear that Mueller’s big move is coming very soon, because it has to. So what’s he got?

There has been an extraordinary amount of media coverage of late about Robert Mueller’s efforts against Roger Stone – but that’s only a small piece of the puzzle. The Stone thing keeps getting headlines for one reason: Mueller’s criminal case against him has been built largely on reluctant grand jury testimony from Stone’s own friends and associates, who have sold him out piece by piece, many of whom have gone public about their testimony in an apparent attempt at warning Stone what’s coming. But ignore that.

Robert Mueller didn’t insert himself into this mess just to take down a sideshow character like Roger Stone. Now that Mueller is coming up on his big finale, you can bet that it doesn’t simply consist of Stone in handcuffs. So let’s talk about what Mueller really has going on. First, we don’t know how many sealed indictments he’s sitting on, or who all they’re against. But we do know this: Mueller has the full cooperation of Michael Flynn, Rick Gates, Paul Manafort, and Michael Cohen.

Those four names are the ace up Robert Mueller’s sleeve. He knows everything they know. And when you add up what these four guys collectively know, it pretty much covers everyone else in Donald Trump’s orbit. So it’s difficult to imagine that Mueller doesn’t have a stack of indictments waiting to be unsealed all at once, setting off a tidal wave that Trump can’t stop. No wonder there’s buzz, from pundits and from Donald Trump Jr himself, that he’s on the verge of arrest. Based on just the four big cooperators we know about, Mueller has everyone nailed. It’s just a matter of which day he chooses to unleash it all.
