House Democrats have something up their sleeve for Robert Mueller’s testimony
This weekend House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler seemed to give away that he knows something we don’t, when he used his Sunday morning talk show appearance to hint that Donald Trump’s impeachment could begin after Robert Mueller’s testimony. Last night a different committee chair revealed that House Democrats do indeed have something up their sleeve.
Last night House Financial Services Committee Chair Maxine Waters posted this tweet: “The Judiciary members have a good plan to force more info out of Mueller when he testifies before the committee. If this works, this will give us the ammunition we need to start impeachment immediately.”
To be clear, up to now the House Democrats haven’t mentioned any sort of plan to “force more info out of Mueller” than what’s already in his redacted report. Waters is clearly referring to something that’s not public knowledge, which means they have some kind of secret plan in place.
Don’t worry, Maxine Waters didn’t give away the secret. To do that, she’d have had to have revealed what the secret plan actually consists of. All we know as of now is that House Democrats have something up their sleeve when it comes to Mueller’s testimony. Waters is the chair of one of the committees that’s investigating Donald Trump’s crimes, so she’s in position to know.
