Donald Trump goes utterly berserk after 60 Minutes further exposes the horrors of his immigrant child camps
The truly disturbing part of the Trump era isn’t just that Donald Trump is kidnapping immigrant children from their parents and locking them inside cages. It’s that Trump is also doing so many other horrifying and criminal things, his child camps are at risk of getting lost in the shuffle. Thankfully, 60 Minutes put the proper focus back on them tonight, and suffice it to say that Trump didn’t take it particularly well.
60 Minutes offered an even handed yet jarring look into Donald Trump’s policy of forcibly taking immigrant children from their parents and then caging them, in something that looks straight out of mid-period (but obviously not late-stage) Nazi Germany concentration camps. This was particularly ominous within the context of reports earlier today that Trump’s border agents were firing tear gas at refugees on the border. After the 60 Minutes expose aired, Trump promptly fired back in histrionic and dishonest fashion:
“60 Minutes did a phony story about child separation when they know we had the exact same policy as the Obama Administration. In fact a picture of children in jails was used by other Fake Media to show how bad (cruel) we are, but it was in 2014 during O years. Obama separated children from parents, as did Bush etc., because that is the policy and law. I tried to keep them together but the problem is, when you do that, vast numbers of additional people storm the Border. So with Obama seperation is fine, but with Trump it’s not. Fake 60 Minutes!” To be as clear as possible, literally not one word of this is true.
Donald Trump has been nearly finished off. Special Counsel Robert Mueller is about to destroy him and his family, even as House Democrats prepare to do the same. He’ll be out of office fairly soon, and he’ll land in prison eventually. But for now, he and his white supremacist advisers are trying to take out their bloodthirsty frustrations on immigrants while they still can.
Trump’s strategy is to do increasingly Hitler-like things, while justifying it by falsely accusing President Obama of having done those same Hitler-like things. Naturally, his bottom feeding supporters are still going along with it, because the immigrants in question are brown, and Obama is black. But Trump’s racist base alone isn’t large enough to save him. His time is nearly over; the question is what will be left of America once Trump has been put in a cage.
