Sit down already
A new report released today has found that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo did in fact engage in a pattern of sexual harassment. It’s ugly, to say the least. It also surely signals the end of Cuomo’s career, whether he’s ready to acknowledge it or not. Cuomo asked everyone to wait for this report, insisting it would exonerate him, and it did the opposite, so that’s that.
This is going to be yet another instance of the Democrats taking out their own trash. The probe into Cuomo was ordered by New York Attorney General Tish James, a Democrat. Several prominent Democrats had already called for Cuomo to resign even before today’s report surfaced.
Numerous Republicans, including New York Republican Elise Stefanik, are now gloating over Andrew Cuomo’s impending downfall. Here’s the thing, though. If you support a serial rapist like Donald Trump and an alleged child rapist like Matt Gaetz, you don’t get a say when it comes to someone like Cuomo. Let the adults on the Democratic side take care of Cuomo. Republicans never police their own side. On a day like this they should really just sit things out.
