Sinking Donald Trump calls for several House Republicans to be primaried after they start giving up on him

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

This week the Republican House humiliated itself by trying to censure House Democrat Adam Schiff on phony charges. The Republican House then humiliated itself even further by failing to come up with the votes to pull it off, with twenty Republicans voting against it.

Given how obsessively Donald Trump has targeted and harassed Schiff over the years, it seemed pretty obvious that that censure movement was an attempt at pleasing Trump. But now that it’s failed, Trump is throwing a fit about it, and vowing revenge against those who are giving up on his agenda.

Trump just announced on social media that “Any Republican voting against [Schiff’s] CENSURE, or worse, should immediately be primaried. There are plenty of great candidates out there!”

So there you have it. We now have twenty House Republicans voting against Trump’s attempt at censuring Schiff, because they’re worried about losing their seats in 2024 over this nonsense. And now we have Trump vowing revenge against those twenty House Republicans. Given that most of those twenty Republican incumbents are in moderate toss-up districts, if Trump is able to replace them with extremist Trump-like candidates, the Republicans are far more likely to lose those seats to the Democrats. If Trump and House Republicans want to start doing this to each other, then by all means, please proceed.
