Donald Trump somehow finds a way to sink to a whole new low

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

For some people, money is everything. It matters not the plight of others, even extending to condoning murder if it means they get more money. The one who comes immediately to mind is none other than “President” Donald Trump. The United Nations asked Trump to allow the FBI to investigate the murder of Saudi dissident and Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi. What did Trump do? He declined, stating that such an investigation might ruin the arms deal he’s making with Saudi Arabia.

Following her investigation, UN special rapporteur Agnes Callamard was convinced that Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman was directly involved in the premeditated murder of Khashoggi. According to Lawfare, the Saudi embassy in Washington directed Khashoggi to Turkey to retrieve documents for his upcoming wedding. Once that was accomplished, a 15-member Special Ops team was dispatched to Istanbul to “deal with” Khashoggi. More than half of the team included associates of the crown prince. Because of the speed with which this team was assembled and dispatched, it is suspected that they handle this sort of thing for the prince on a regular basis.

Consequently, the blame for this horrendous murder lies right at the feet of bin Salman. Considering that the planning began in Washington, it makes sense for the FBI to get involved to finally get to the bottom of Khashoggi’s murder. What does Trump do? What he normally does: brush the request off as nothing and then lie about the amount of money the U.S. is supposed to make on the arms deal.

During his interview on NBC’s Meet the Press, when asked if he would allow the FBI to investigate, Trump responded: “I think it’s been heavily investigated.” When asked by whom it had been investigated, Trump gave a typical, rambling response: “By everybody, I mean… I’ve seen so many different reports.” Let’s face it: Trump has seen nothing. He’s merely lying as he usually does. He then went on to boast that the Saudis will be spending “$400 to $450 billion” for the arms sales, providing jobs and buying equipment. Jobs for whom, may we ask? This man has absolutely no scruples. He will lie about anything that turns green, and honestly, who knows how much he’ll personally pocket in the process? The truth, according to the Guardian, is that Saudi Arabia has signed “letters of acceptance” that total $14.5 billion, not “$400 to $450 billion.” Trump strikes again. It doesn’t matter that he is supporting a murderous regime; what matters most to him is the money. In other words, it’s all about the Benjamins.

While evangelicals claim that Donald Trump was put in the White House by God, nothing could be further from the truth. Everything Trump does and says is more in line with Satan, not God, including his love of money. Many people get 1 Timothy 6:10 wrong. It’s not money that is the root of all evil, it is the love of it. Trump loves money, even in the face of an innocent man’s murder, which is the epitome of evil. Hopefully, all of Trump’s faux Christian supporters enjoy their seats next to him in hell.
