Donald Trump has been stunned into silence

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

We all know it’s coming eventually. But it’s been more than six hours since the U.S. Supreme Court denied to even so much as hear Donald Trump’s request to overturn the election results in Pennsylvania, and Trump still has yet to say or tweet a word about it.

That’s notable when you consider how stunning and essentially fatal of a blow this is. It puts a very real end to Donald Trump’s imaginary battle to overturn the election; he can keep trying to fight, but there’s no venue to fight in. The Supreme Court, including three Justices that he appointed specifically to bail him out in the election, unanimously told him to go pound sand.

Not only does this mean that Trump is a one-term president, it means he’s now on a clear path to bankruptcy and prison. He knows it too, because even an uneducated dunderhead like Trump understands that the Supreme Court is the final stop in any dispute in this country.

Yet Trump still hasn’t spoken up. He hasn’t bothered to lash out at the Justices he appointed, or accuse them of being part of the Deep State. Trump hasn’t bothered to threaten to expose Kavanaugh’s dirty secrets and what-not. It’s all coming. Trump is clinically incapable of remaining quiet forever, even when he knows he should. But for now, Trump has been stunned into silence by the sheer magnitude of the blow that he just took. His life is over, and he surely knows it.
