Sidney Powell just lost it all
“Kraken” lawyer Sidney Powell has shown a remarkable penchant for incoherently stupid self destruction over the past few years. Of course the same could be said about a lot of the criminal defendants in Fulton County’s Trump criminal probe. But now Powell has lost it all.
Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro saw their last ditch nonsense filings tossed out of court on Tuesday, meaning their trials are set to begin as soon as later this week. This is remarkable, in that it means some of Trump’s key criminal co-conspirators are already going on trial, not long after they were indicted.
It’s also a reminder that there’s no such thing as magically delaying your trial with nonsense filings. Once the judge decided the timeframe for this trial, it was going to happen. There was nothing that Sidney Powell or Kenneth Chesebro could do about it. So if they were pinning their hopes that these last ditch nonsense filings would save them, suffice it to say that it’s lights out for them. They certainly aren’t going to have any better luck at trial.
