Donald Trump, you sick twisted psychopath

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump was forced today to partially back down from his practice of taking immigrant children from their parents and locking them in cages – but his new executive order is full of loopholes and will only improve things incrementally at best, unless mainstream Americans keep clobbering him over the head about this issue. Still, it was a humiliating defeat for Trump, after he had bet big on a brutally inhuman scheme, and he lost big. Now he’s making a point of behaving as grotesquely as he can, to distract from his failure and take out his frustrations.

Shortly after signing the executive order, Trump posted this childish and ridiculous tweet: “Had a great meeting with the House GOP last night at the Capitol. They applauded and laughed loudly when I mentioned my experience with Mark Sanford. I have never been a fan of his!” This was so far over the line that Republican Congressman Justin Amash responded to him on Twitter, saying “House Republicans had front row seats to POTUS’s dazzling display of pettiness and insecurity. Nobody applauded or laughed. People were disgusted.”

Trump then went on to hold a functionally pointless ego-stroking rally in Duluth this evening, which saw him (inaccurately) bragging about crowd size. At various points during the day, Trump took dishonest and misleading cheap shots at everyone from Hillary Clinton to Barack Obama to Bill Clinton.

Again, this is a man who has spent the past two months ripping Hispanic children from their mothers’ arms and putting them in cages inside concentration camps, for the crime of not being white. Donald Trump is literally mid-period Adolf Hitler. Not only that, he thinks this whole thing is truly hilarious. Trump won’t be laughing as loudly when he’s on trial for crimes ranging from conspiracy against the United States, to election tampering, to money laundering, to obstruction of justice, to reckless child endangerment. He will in fact spend the rest of his life in a cage.
