Who’s running Donald Trump’s White House at this point? That’s far from clear. He’s only ever had a comparative skeleton crew of a staff, and as most of his original senior advisers have resigned or been fired or been indicted, he hasn’t even bothered to replace a lot of them. But even with just a handful of people left under Trump’s roof, things are uglier than ever. In fact two of Trump’s top remaining people just got into a heated shouting match.

Donald Trump’s White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, who is seemingly only still on the job because he’s a racist who hates immigrants, and Trump’s new White House National Security Adviser, who seemingly only took the job because he’s a racist who hates Muslims, got into what CNN is describing as a “shouting match” today which resulted in a “falling out.” The concern now is that one or both of them might resign.

So what, right? These guys are both villains. The trouble is this: Donald Trump is on his second Chief of Staff and his third National Security Adviser. Each time one leaves, Trump replaces them with someone even worse than the last. Is it even possible to find people worse than John Kelly and John Bolton? Trump might take that as a challenge.

In any case, even as Trump wanders the country like a homeless drifter, giving incoherent snake oil sales pitches to the suckers still willing to show up to his rallies, there’s virtually no one left running his illegitimate White House. This comes one day after White House Counsel Don McGahn resigned,
