Senile Donald Trump: “I am proud to represent our Failing Nation”
Now that Donald Trump is a convicted felon, he’s having a hard time trying to split the difference between campaigning as a proud American and portraying himself as a victim of the American system. Because he’s senile on top of it, he’s having an even harder time.
For instance, he wrote this on social media today: “I am proud to represent our Failing Nation in fighting the GREATEST POLITICAL WITCH HUNT IN HISTORY. REMOVE THE GAG ORDER SO THAT I CAN SHOW HOW CORRUPT OUR COURT SYSTEM IS. PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES ARE NOT TO BE GAGGED!”
That’s right, Trump just said that he is “proud to represent our Failing Nation.” Wait a minute here. The problems with this concept are obvious. Trump has no idea what he’s trying to say these days, and no idea how to say it.
It’s also remarkable that Trump thinks a gag order in his criminal trial – where he was convicted by a jury of his peers – should be lifted just because he’s running for office. That’s not how anything works. It also underscores that Trump is only running for office because he’s on his way to prison. Let’s make sure he loses and ends up in a cell.
