Senile Donald Trump doesn’t appear to understand what’s even going on in his trial
Donald Trump has said all along that he intends to testify in his criminal trial. Most of us don’t expect it to happen, because Trump would merely end up burying himself – especially now that he’s as deep into dementia symptoms as he is. Now Trump is pretty much admitting that he’s not going to testify, but in the process he’s also revealing just how senile he is.
Trump announced today that he can’t testify because he’s “under gag order.” No really, he said this. Everyone who’s watching this trial understands the difference between testifying (taking the stand in your own defense) and violating a gag order (attacking witnesses while you’re not on the stand). But Trump is apparently so deep into the cognitive abyss, he can’t understand the difference.
It’s worth pointing out that Trump’s attorneys clearly don’t want him to testify, because it’ll help ensure that he loses. But they can’t simply tell Trump that he’s too senile to take the stand. So instead they appear to have steered him toward the belief that he’s not allowed to testify because of the gag order. It all goes to show just how senile Trump has become.
