With a few notable exceptions, Republicans in the House and Senate keep demonstrating an overwhelming unwillingness to take out their own trash, either by convicting Donald Trump or by expelling the Republican insurrectionists. Mitt Romney is one of those exceptions.
Insurrectionist and deranged clown Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted today that she’d just gotten off the phone with Trump, and that “You can never beat him because We The People have his back.” This is a remarkable confession, considering Trump is a domestic terrorist awaiting criminal charges, and Greene is essentially confessing to aiding and abetting him.
Mitt Romney was having none of it. In response to the news about Greene and Trump, he tweeted: “Lies of a feather flock together: Marjorie Taylor Greene’s nonsense and the ‘big lie’ of a stolen election.” Greene replied by telling Romney to “grow a pair” – yet another reminder of how fundamentally unfit she is to serve in Congress.
