Senate Democrats come out swinging
House Republicans received a sharp rebuke from Republican Senators on Monday as the Senators warned that any legislation to impeach the judges who have ruled against Donald Trump would be DOA-dead on arrival. The Senate also says it will voice strong opposition to any possible attempts by Mike Johnson (creepy porn guy, insurrection party).
This really must have stung. It’s disappointing news for House Republicans, who, as you know, are crazy, with some perhaps actually believing they’d be able to impeach these judges. But alas, that will not happen. It was never going to, as we said. Nor will the House be able to simply eliminate the court system.
The good news about all of this is house Republicans will likely pout about it, fume about it, and make a lot of noise about it. This is good because the more useless energy they expend on stuff like this, the less likely they are to do something to hurt the American people.
