Donald Trump just killed off Sean Spicer

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Rick Wilson famously said that everything Trump touches dies. That’s always been true, but over the past week that trend has begun accelerating at a rapid pace. In some instances it’s been because he’s just radioactively unpopular and corrupt. In other instances it’s been because of bad luck. In still other instances it’s been because his people suck in general. But wow is Trump killing off his own allies left and right.

Earlier this evening Donald Trump tweeted his support for his former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, who is now a contestant on Dancing With The Stars. Well, Sean Spicer was a contestant on Dancing With The Stars, because shortly after Trump voiced his support, Spicer got kicked off the show.

This comes after Donald Trump attended an Alabama college football game this weekend, only for Alabama to suffer a very rare home loss. And of course last week Trump held a rally for Kentucky’s Republican Governor Matt Bevin, who then somehow managed to lose his reelection bid in a red state.

Sure, Spicer lost on DWTS because he’s a terrible dancer, and Alabama lost the football game for football reasons. These losses didn’t have much to do with Donald Trump’s involvement. But the loss in Kentucky was a reminder that Trump has truly become too unpopular and neutered to make anything happen for his allies – and the football and reality show losses were just icing on the cake.
