Score one for the good guys

Being the geography nerd that I am, I enjoy studying state characteristics. For example, did you know that the people of Maine are known to have the smoothest complexions in the country? Perhaps it’s all that sea air. Maine also has the rockiest coastline, and is considered the most tranquil state. Indeed, when I visit the state, it is like stepping into a cozy sea cottage of gentle and serene tranquility.

Maine is also to be congratulated. I say this because Maine’s Governor has just won a court case against Donald Trump. Trump has been, since he took office, bullying Maine and its governor. Perhaps it’s the fact that she’s a woman. Maybe it’s the fact that she doesn’t roll over and take trump’s crap.

In any event, Trump was trying to cut off funding for Maine’s school lunch program. How sweet! Trying to deny food to school students. Is there ANY low to low for the Trump administration? The answer to that question is no. But now, my friends, a federal judge has weighed in, and in a win for Maine, Trump has been told to back off.

So now, incredibly, Trump has backed off and will restore nutritional funding to Maine schools, which should never have been yanked in the first place. This is a significant win for us and highlights how much we need to win the Maine Senate race. And we WILL win that race. Trump’s disdain for all things Maine is pervasive and hangs over the state like an ill wind. I have every reason to believe that Mainers despise Donald Trump as much as everyone else does.
