Score one for the good guys
Democrats just pulled off one of the biggest over-performances in midterm history. Shout out to the DNC, DCCC, and DSCC. They constantly get bashed by dishonest pundits who are trying to make themselves look smart in comparison. But they really got the job done in 2022.
When a new President is elected, that party historically gets wiped out in the first midterms. Five Senate seats, 40 House seats. It’s almost automatic. For the Democrats to have kept the House close and gained in the Senate is a historic, supposedly impossible level of success.
So the next time you hear someone bashing the DNC, ask them what they’re really basing this on. The odds are they’ll either make false claims, or pull things out of context, or fall back on generic emotional arguments. For that matter, ask them if they know the difference between what the DNC, the DCCC, and the DSCC even do. It’s time to put an end to this kind of nonsense, and get on board with helping the DNC carry out its goals.
