“Scorched earth”
My friends, I feel I must apologize. I am sorry for EVER saying that Kevin McCarthy was the stupidest House Speaker we’ve ever had. I am sorry about that because he pales next to Mike Johnson who may have just permanently screwed up his chances of ever being taken seriously, as well as Donald Trump ever getting ANY aspect of his agenda through.
Mike Johnson has forced Mike Turner out of his job as House Intelligence Committee Chair. This is because of Donald J Trump. It was reportedly upon Trump’s orders. Trump feels that Mike Turner is a rhino, and he wanted him ousted from his position, so who better to ask than the cringing sad sack supposedly in charge of the house? That’d be Johnson.
Mike Johnson promptly removed Mike TURNER from the position, sparking outrage with many Republicans who were not even aware this would happen, and as for the man Mike Johnson removed? He is specifically known for not bending the knee to Trump and is reportedly very angry at both Donald Trump and Mike Johnson.
A couple of Republicans, who preferred to be anonymous, said that Johnson is ready to go “scorched earth.” Oh no! Oh yes! Oh shit! Mike Turner, said one Republican, will “never vote for another “f’ing thing around here again.”
Howe STUPID. Do the House Repubs not know how SLIM their majority is? They need EVERY vote. Looks like they’re not going to get every vote. Democrats are talking about this too, in fact they’re all abuzz about it. Connecticut Democratic Representative Jim Himes said this action by Trump and Johnson “sends a shiver down my spine.”
Who DOES this? Only a group of people who are completely incompetent. So once again, chaos has infused itself in the house caucus. This is becoming a daily experience.
