Scandal erupts as prominent right wingers accuse RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel of being a Democratic Party plant

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

If you’re going to judge the national chair of a major political party, you want to look at how well that party has been doing in recent elections, and how much or little controversy there is surrounding that chair. For instance, DNC Chair Jaime Harrison is obviously doing a good job, given the Democratic Party’s strong performance in the last few election cycles, and the lack of controversy surrounding his position.

Then there’s RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel. The Republican Party just keeps underperforming, in election after election, yet somehow McDaniel never does get replaced. She seems willing to do Donald Trump’s bidding, so he’s presumably persuaded the party to keep her around, even though she’s highly inept. McDaniel is also becoming the subject of growing controversy.

Right wing pundit Charlie Kirk now says that he’s warned Donald Trump that Ronna McDaniel is a Democratic Party plant who wants Trump to go to prison. Kirk is a clown, and everything he says is intentionally aimed at being ridiculous enough to generate controversy – so normally we just ignore him. But in this instance Kirk appears to be revealing that Trump really is refusing to allow McDaniel to be ousted, even though she’s so inept that clowns like Kirk are making entire narratives out of it.

This is, of course, a good thing for the rest of us. If you’re rooting for the Republican Party to keep losing elections, then you should presumably be rooting for Ronna McDaniel to keep her job as RNC Chair. All she does is lose.
