Awhile back, Donald Trump’s White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders committed a few clear cut instances of felony obstruction of justice from the podium, and then she stopped doing briefings almost entirely. We’ve since learned that right around that time, Special Counsel Robert Mueller interviewed her about obstruction from the podium, which explains a lot.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders is still running her mouth on occasion, but it’s as if she’s not even trying anymore. For instance, she was asked by a CNN reporter today about the mounting Trump-Russia indictments which increasingly spell out the criminal collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. Her answer was surreal: “It’s real simple to me. The President far and away was the better candidate. He had a better message and he outworked Hillary Clinton. That’s why he’s President. He didn’t need to, nor did he, collude with the Russians. Pretty simple.” Wait, what?

The Trump regime’s only remaining argument at this point is that he couldn’t have cheated, because he didn’t need to cheat? Tell that to Richard Nixon, who cheated by orchestrating the Watergate break-in during an election that he ended up winning by eighteen million votes. People cheat all the time when they were going to win anyway.

By the way, Donald Trump lost the popular vote by three million votes. He only won the Electoral College because a few key swing states just happened to go his way, after his campaign conspired with the Kremlin to alter the outcome in those states. If Trump hadn’t criminally cheated, he wouldn’t be in the White House right now. Sarah Huckabee Sanders isn’t even trying anymore. Perhaps it’s because she knows Trump is going down anyway.
