Sarah Huckabee Sanders crashes and burns

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Some people just never learn. Thinking before one speaks — or tweets — are becoming a thing of the past. It does seem that every day now, there is an example of a particularly stupid politician inevitably saying or tweeting something that is at the very least embarrassing and, at the very most, simply horrible.

Try this one on for size — and pin it in the “really horrible” category. The speaker of ridiculous words, in this case, is former Trump Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. It would have been nice if we never heard from Sanders again. Sadly she’s as annoying as ever. And she is running to be Governor of Arkansas.

So it stands to reason Sanders would hit the campaign trail. And that is exactly what she did. And she appeared to feel compelled to speak out about Roe being overturned. That is where the problems started. Proving that Sanders is as dense as most other members of the creepy old party, Sanders said this about the decision: “We will make sure that when a kid is in the womb, they’re as safe as they are in a classroom.”

STUPID. Need I say more? What a stupid. Tone-deaf, moronic. utterly bizarre thing to say. It really was. If Sanders was INTENDING to make an idiotic statement, she could not have done better.

Of course, social media, particularly Twitter, quickly noticed the comment. And faster than one could say, “oops,” the laughter poured in. It’s frankly amazing how utterly clueless Republicans can be, and Sanders is no different in that respect.
