Rusty Bowers’ public testimony is burying Donald Trump in real time

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

How surreal are these hearings? Donald Trump just put out a statement making false claims about conversations he supposedly had with this witness, Republican legislator Rusty Bowers, and now Bowers and Adam Schiff are picking Trump’s statement apart in real time on live national television.

During his testimony, Bowers keeps harping on the fact that when Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani called him up and demanded he overturn the election results, they insisted they had evidence to support their claims – but they never gave Bowers the evidence no matter how many times he asked for it.

This, of course, means that no such evidence existed. Even if the evidence were weak or nonsensical but Trump and Giuliani truly believed it was legitimate, they’d still have turned it over to Bowers, given that Bowers kept asking for it. This is important in that it legally establishes that Trump and Giuliani knew they were perpetrating a fraud.

Also crucial is the fact that Trump wasn’t merely having Giuliani call up people like Bowers and illegally pressure them to overturn the election. Trump was on the phone with Giuliani and Bowers, making him an active first-hand participant in these crimes. This will make it much easier to prove to a trial jury beyond a reasonable doubt that Trump was directing the election crime spree all along.
