Running on fumes
It’s understandable that Donald Trump hasn’t held any rallies since he was injured in a shooting. But what’s being overlooked is that the rally where Trump got shot was his first public appearance in weeks. He’d been in hiding since the debate, a reminder that there’s very little left of him.
Now Trump has chosen JD Vance as his running mate, a pick which appears to be based solely on Trump not wanting to be upstaged. Vance is a bland low key bumbler who doesn’t help Trump in any strategic way. Instead this is about Trump being feeble and weak, and wanting a running mate who comes off as even more feeble and weak.
At this point all the media wants to talk about when it comes to Trump is the shooting. While it’s an important and jarring story that does deserve attention, the big picture remains the same: Trump is an unhinged senile individual who spends most of his time in hiding. He has almost no campaign schedule, and he had to pick a running mate who’s even weaker than he is. Trump’s people will try to use the shooting as an excuse for it all. But the reality is that Trump was running on fumes even before that. Donate
