Rudy Giuliani screws up and reveals that Donald Trump is completely screwed

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

For awhile there, it appeared Donald Trump had finally figured out he needed to get Rudy Giuliani off the stage before he could do any more harm. Every time Rudy has opened his mouth about the investigation into Trump’s criminal scandals, he’s ended up confessing to additional Trump crimes, or revealing details he shouldn’t have. But now that Trump is truly on the ropes, he’s brought Rudy back to the forefront – and it’s already proving to be a huge mistake.

Rudy Giuliani appeared on Fox News this morning, ostensibly to defend Donald Trump from the mounting criminal revelations against him, or at least to distract from them. But you can’t distract from scandals by making them worse. Rudy admitted, out of nowhere, that the negotiations for Trump Tower Moscow continued all the way through election day.

This makes it impossible for Trump to argue that he was only pursuing the deal at a time when he wasn’t yet in serious contention in the election. But Rudy wasn’t done. In a semi-coherent ramble, we thought we heard Rudy reveal that prosecutors are going through Trump’s business records all the way back to 1982. Sometimes it’s difficult to figure out precisely what Rudy is saying. But NBC’s Ken Dilanian tweeted this: “If I heard him right, Rudy Giuliani just said on Fox News that prosecutors are going through Trump’s business records going back to 1982.”

So yeah, if it wasn’t clear already, Donald Trump is completely screwed. The Trump Tower Moscow timing was such that it cannot be explained as anything other than an election payoff, and if prosecutors didn’t already know it, they do now. And if prosecutors are going back three and a half decades into Trump’s corrupt financial history, they’re going to find – or likely already have found – hundreds if not thousands of felony counts to hit him with. Good work, Rudy!
