Rudy Giuliani’s latest lie about Robert Mueller gives away something big

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Earlier this week, after it became clear that Rudy Giuliani’s initial plan of screwing everything up wasn’t going to magically get Donald Trump off the hook, he bragged that he had a “Plan B” up his sleeve. He seemed to give away that he didn’t think Plan B was going to work out for him, because he also bragged that he had a “Plan C.” Now we’re seeing why he didn’t have much confidence in Plan B: it involves him becoming Robert Mueller’s new spokesman.

Earlier in the week Rudy announced that Robert Mueller had admitted to him that a sitting president can’t be indicted. Then, after everyone finished laughing, Giuliani admitted that this never happened, and tried to blame the whole thing on Trump’s other attorney, Jay Sekulow. Now Rudy is once again acting as Mueller’s imaginary spokesman, and he’s falling back to a familiar lie.

Trump’s previous attorneys tried to string him along by promising him that Mueller’s investigation would end soon, and then when that didn’t happen, they’d make up a new fictional date for when it was supposedly going to end. The longer they could keep Trump placated in this manner, the more billable hours they could hit him up for. Now Rudy is using a variation of this lie. He just told CNN that Mueller has promised to wrap up the investigation by September 1st if Trump agrees to give Mueller an interview. This is obviously yet another lie, as Mueller would never have made an offer like this, but it gives something away.

Rudy Giuliani is now going to new lengths to try to convince Donald Trump to give an interview to Robert Mueller. This has been Rudy’s strategy all along, and it’s one which would destroy Trump’s presidency and send him to prison. Giuliani’s only possible reason for pushing Trump in this direction would be to try to hurry up and finish Trump off. This goes back to our original premise that Rudy only took the case to try to quickly sink Trump before the investigation could lead back to Rudy’s involvement.
