Rudy Giuliani just lost again

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

These days it seems all that Rudy Giuliani does is lose. He lost every court case he tried to file related to the 2020 election. He’s lost his reputation. He’s reportedly lost all his money. His home has been raided by the FBI, and he’s likely to lose everything once the inevitable indictments come down. He’s lost his ability to practice law in New York and Washington DC. And now he’s lost again.

Washington DC originally suspended Rudy Giuliani’s law license based on the mere fact that his law license was also suspended in New York, where he’s under ethics investigation. But now a new report from Reuters, flagged by our friends at Bipartisan Report, reveals that Washington DC is now also running its own ethics investigation into Rudy – which he tried and failed to get stopped.

While these kinds of ethics probes are a question of disbarment and aren’t the kinds of probes that deliver criminal charges, any criminal findings can be referred to the relevant prosecutors for prosecution. So the more dirt these ethics probes turn up on Rudy, the more they may end up contributing to the federal criminal case that’s already threatening to send him to prison.
