Rudy Giuliani just did it AGAIN

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

What happens when you directly confess to a reporter that you committed a felony, and then it takes a month to punish? That’s the pickle Rudy Giuliani found himself in this week. Maybe, back when he confessed to the New Yorker last month that he was the one who forced out U.S. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch as part of his Ukraine criminal plot, he had a good reason for confessing at the time. We can’t imagine what that reason would be, but let’s give Rudy the benefit of the doubt for a minute.

This guy has had a month to think about how stupid it was for him to make this confession. He’s now a month closer to his arrest. He’s a month closer to spending the rest of his life in solitary confinement. He actually has an attorney representing him now. So of course he’s going to claim now that he never actually said this to the New Yorker last month, right?

Wrong. Rudy went on the Laura Ingraham show on Fox News last night and confirmed that “of course” he’s the one who had Yovanovitch fired. He said “I didn’t need her out of the way. I forced her out because she’s corrupt.” Let’s be clear. By speaking these words, Rudy is further cementing the fact that he’ll die in prison.

But hey, Rudy Giuliani is the Energizer Bunny of stupid. He just keeps going and going. He’s rapidly throwing his own life away by making it far easier for prosecutors to put him in prison forever. He’s also incriminating everyone he conspired with to fire Yovanovitch. Rudy might as well just report to prison now and get it over with.
