Dear Palmer Report readers,
We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.
In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $2097 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer
Palmer Report
When Rudy Giuliani filed paperwork yesterday to appear in court today and argue Donald Trump’s case that the case should be magically overturned, we were only left to wish there were going to be TV cameras in the courtroom. Fortunately, reporters are being allowed to listen in remotely – and Rudy is already humiliating himself.
According to law professor Jennifer Taub, who has been listening in and live tweeting the proceedings, Rudy is spending the hearing ranting and raving about various Chicago politicians, seemingly unaware that he’s in court in Pennsylvania. Rudy also keeps complaining to the judge that his mask is causing his glasses to fog up. It’s an issue many of us deal with, but one you should get sorted out before going into court.
As a reminder, this is the guy Trump picked to save his failing bid to magically overturn the election. Trump clearly isn’t even trying to win this; he’s just using Rudy to try to drag out the farce a bit longer, allowing Trump to fundraise from it a bit longer. Meanwhile, Americans are dying because Trump hasn’t yet started the transition.
