Rudy Giuliani hits rock bottom

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

There is something about the stench of failure. It’s pervasive. You can almost smell it, almost see it. And the stench of failure is indeed quite pervasive around Rudy Giuliani. Rudy’s fall from grace is epic. It is hard to believe, is it not — that this man — was once considered not only a hero (9/11) but a serious Presidential contender.

And yet he was. Many are divided about Rudy. Some say he was always like this, and people did not see it. Others say he sold his soul for Trump. I believe the truth is somewhere in between. Rudy always had a rough reputation and was never reportedly exactly a nice guy. But there can be no denying that at one time, people took him seriously as an attorney and as a politician.

Not anymore. He stands among the figures of shame, doomed to history remembering him as a joke — a self-created one. The following news will not help him in that respect. Rudy Giuliani is promoting cheap discounted sandals — on social media — Twitter, to be exact:

“Great products at reasonable prices!”

“Use code Rudy for additional savings!”

Ouch. Several different looks of sandals were displayed, all from, of course, MyPillow. Does this information surprise you? Has it really come to this? Oddly, Rudy has also limited public replies to his tweets. I imagine this fall from grace is pretty embarrassing for the former Mayor.

This new image of Rudy, sadly for him, won’t change his image in any way. If Rudy really did want to rehabilitate himself, he would tell the truth – the whole truth — and nothing but the truth to the American people. Alas, sadly, I think the truth is something Rudy has long since forgotten the meaning of.
