Rudy Giuliani crashes and burns
It’s amazing, is it not? It’s amazing how horrible luck follows anyone who gets close to Trump. Case in point: Rudy Giuliani. If you close your eyes and remember 9/11, you can remember the love that flowed freely toward the former Mayor. Now I must say I have ALWAYS disliked Rudy.
The rumors were always there. His temper, his history with women, his control issues, his need for the spotlight. So I know that Rudy always had issues. But for one brief moment, he really was America’s Mayor, and if I remember that period in time, I remember high praise for him, even from some Democrats.
And now it’s paradise lost for Rudy. Of all the people ever to get entangled with Trump, Rudy’s Trump insanity is perhaps the hardest to understand.
Now he is facing disbarment. A disciplinary board for the DC bar has recommended his disbarment. All because Rudy got mixed up with Donald Trump. All because he turned into a caricature of a desperate man.
Rudy never stopped trying to undermine the 2020 election. I wonder what would happen if this iteration of Rudy could talk to the old Rudy — the one of endless admiration and the one gifted with the title “America’s Mayor” — I wonder what the old Rudy would say to the new one.
It was three people who recommended Rudy be stripped of his law license. What happens now? It goes to the WHOLE disciplinary board. There are nine of them. And if they too agree with this decision, it then goes to the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, which makes the final decision.
It really does seem like Rudy may lose his entire career over helping Trump. And though I doubt Rudy is a reader of Palmer Report, I’d love to ask him one question. WHY does he not feel anger toward Donald Trump?
Most people in the world do get angry at anyone who attempts to ruin their life. It’s normal. So why is it that Rudy’s worship of Trump continues to grow?
Is he so devoid of self-awareness and critical thinking skills that he’s never asked himself why he obediently followed a man who manipulated him like a marionette?
Is there no depth of soul where he looks at himself and what his life has become? It’s a bitter swansong for Rudy — a man once admired, respected, and even adored — by some. Now, as like most of Trump’s sycophants, he has nowhere to go but down, down, down.
