Ron DeSantis strikes again

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

There are plenty of Governors competing for the title of worst in the nation. But by almost any measure, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis keeps finding ways to win that dubious title. He’s gone to cartoonish lengths to try to steer the COVID vaccine to the counties and zip codes that voted for him. Now he’s got another scandal on his hands.

Here’s what Florida political activist Daniel Uhlfelder has to say about it:

There’s good and bad news in this. On the one hand, Ron DeSantis is clearly trying to cheat his way to reelection in Florida in 2022. On the other hand, he wouldn’t be this desperate to cheat if he thought he could win fair and square, so this means that his internal poll numbers must be just as bad as we suspect they are. Also, if we can defeat DeSantis in Florida in 2022, then his 2024 presidential ambitions will all but automatically go down the drain.
