Ron DeSantis’ house of cards is proving vulnerable after all

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Palmer Report’s predictions are usually correct. Now, I do not say that because I write for Palmer Report. I say that because of what I’ve seen. I was a reader of Palmer Report for years before I started writing for them. And I’ve repeatedly seen that the facts are on our side. And now another prediction has just come true.

Ron DeSantis. How many pundits said there was nothing we could do about him? He’s unbeatable many said smugly. His reign of terror in Florida will not stop anytime soon. Floridians love him. WRONG! You see, friends and readers, DeSantis is probably not a happy camper today. He is likely fuming. And that is because a new poll is out. And it shows the reelection campaign of DeSantis is in deep trouble.

The poll was done by Florida progressive groups, BUT it was “more heavily weighted toward a GOP electorate.” And it found that just 48 percent of ALL registered voters would vote for him. His favorable ratings have also dropped, with 50% viewing him favorably and 48% viewing him unfavorably.

DeSantis — if he was as loved as the pundits say — should be running away with this. He should score an easy touchdown. After all, it’s Florida. It’s the place that stubborn pundits insist on calling a red state. Only it’s not. Florida is etched in shades of purple and always has been. We know it. Florida knows it. And a heck of a lot of voters also know it.

DeSantis cannot afford to let his favorable number slip under 50%. But he may have reached ceiling in support. We will soon know who our nominee will be for Florida Governor. And we need to go all in on this race. Why? Because DeSantis is ruining a wonderful state. And he is BEATABLE.

There is so much more to Florida than people realize. It is a place of such exquisite beauty. I have spent a lot of time there. It is my happy place. I want it to be a happy place for many for a long time to come. But to keep it happy, we have to beat DeSantis, who seems intent on turning Florida into some kind of Alt-right fortress where people are doomed unless they move in lockstep with the tyrannical Governor.
