Ron DeSantis gives away that he’s vulnerable

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

As Ukraine is flooded with love and concern from nations everywhere, Florida Non-Governor Ron DeSantis has other things on his tiny mind: “Last week, the Biden administration requested the assistance of state national guards to deploy to Washington, D.C. I have rejected this request — there will be no @FLGUARD sent to D.C. for Biden’s State of the Union.”

This is from DeSantis denying requests for extra security assistance. So what is DeSantis doing? Let’s break this down. Let’s ALSO break down how we can vote DeSantis from office.

DeSantis is obviously trying to appeal to the alt-right. No surprises there. But what is concerning to me is he gets a bit crazier with each passing month. This is why we must beat him. And I am SO bloody sick of folks saying, “we can’t.” Yes, we can.

Imagine if no battles were ever fought because “we can’t.” Such nonsense. Such silly rabbits. We can win anything we damn well want if we put the time and energy in. DeSantis is vulnerable. He’s gone SO far to the right he risks seriously alienating people in the middle.

And yes — there are people in the middle — even in Florida. I am acquainted with many such people. These people would likely be repulsed by the “don’t say gay bill.” They would likely be repulsed by this statement of DeSantis I just included. But many don’t know about these things.

So we have to make sure they’re aware. We also have to sign up new voters and do get-out-the vote-drives as we’ve never done. We must reach everyone. Don’t forget that Florida is NOT a red state — it’s a purple one. And it’s always close too.

I take nothing for granted, and believe me; I don’t underestimate the difficulties of such a race. But struggles yield results. The more difficult something might be, the better the result can be when it happens.

The bottom line is Florida is saddled with a detestable, unappealing bore of a man who has hurt Florida and fully intends to keep hurting her. Nobody actually LIKES this guy except the alt-right. And he cares about nobody except his fellow alt-righters. Imagine the look on peoples’ faces if we can successfully kick Do-nothing DeSantis out of office in the midterms. Let’s try to do just that.
