Ron DeSantis’ comeuppance

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Did you know that “Beloved” by Toni Morrison is nothing but pornography? So is the beautifully written “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.” The kite runner is pornography. And Tango makes three is pornography. Of mice and men is pornography. The sleeping beauty is pornography. At least, according to Ron DeSantis, they are.

You see, Ronny Boy is attempting to defend himself regarding the book bans. In a press conference, DeSantis lashed out at the media, saying they were engaged a hoax. Ron then explained that he was only trying to protect the children! And he said all he’s doing is removing “pornography.”

He also said these books attempt to sexualize our children. Of course, anyone who has actually READ These books — and I’ve read most — would know that’s garbage. So I ask: how does, for example, “Of nice and men” sexualize children? It might make them feel. It might make them cry because of its wild beauty and magnificent storytelling — but how is it pornography, Ron? Do tell.

Perhaps he didn’t like the title. After all — it contains the word “mice” and Desantis is also engaged in war with the cutest and most famous mouse. According to a recent report by Popular Information, the definition of pornography in Florida is so vague it’s leading to famous and beloved classics being pulled from the shelves.

For example, The Sleeping Beauty was pulled because on one-page character’s “buttocks is slightly visible from a distance.” There are so many books that have been banned in Florida that I could never list all of them in this article.

The good news is that the media is starting to ask the question. As I said in another article, president Biden plans to make book banning a significant part of his campaign.

Ron DeSantis has likely never read most books on this banned list. Like Trump, I do not see DeSantis as the intellectual type. Few who actually READ these books could ever associate them with pornography.

Ron DeSantis is going to be surprised. Because he’s gone a bridge too far with these bans. They’re not well received because most of the country is not crazy like Ron is. Most of the American people do not want literature pulled from libraries. Ron is on track to get his comeuppance, and I guarantee it won’t be pretty.
