Roger Stone flips out after Randy Credico testifies against him

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

As Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Trump-Russia grand jury has gradually closed in on him, Roger Stone’s behavior has become even more frantic and over-the-top than usual. Things took a major turn in the grand jury proceedings yesterday when radio host Randy Credico testified. This is the guy whom Stone accused of being his WikiLeaks go between, and then later tried to intimidate out of testifying. Now that Credico has delivered one of the final nails in Stone’s inevitable indictment, Stone is, shall we say, flipping out even by his standards.

Roger Stone spoke today at a very poorly attended pro-Trump rally in Washington DC. During his speech, Stone demanded that Donald Trump fire “insubordinate hillbilly” and “keebler elf” Attorney General Jeff Sessions. He then demanded that Trump fire Robert Mueller, asserting that while Trump could by impeached for firing Mueller, he’ll definitely be impeached if he doesn’t fire Mueller.

Roger Stone’s motivation seems fairly obvious here: he fears he’s about to be indicted and arrested, and he’s desperately hoping that Trump will fire everyone in charge of the investigation before it can happen. It’s not just the one speech. In the day and a half since Credico testified, Stone has made a number of utterly berserk posts on Instagram. He’s launched strange attacks on everyone from Republican strategist Rick Wilson to Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff. He’s also insisted that Mueller is going to “frame” him.

So how soon will Robert Mueller complete his indictment of Roger Stone? That’s tough to pin down with any precision. But Randy Credico appears to have been one of the very last witnesses against Stone. Andrew Miller has been holding out and has been held in contempt of court. It’s not clear if Mueller will wait until a judge forces Miller, or if he’ll indict Stone without his testimony. Stay tuned.
