If you haven’t heard much out of Roger Stone lately, it’s because he’s finally stopped saying controversial things on Instagram after a federal judge informed him that his bail would be revoked if he said another word about the criminal case against him. But Stone just violated that in a major way – and let’s just say that this week isn’t likely to go well for him.

After Roger Stone made Instagram posts that seemed to threaten the life of Judge Amy Berman Jackson, she told him that going forward he would only be allowed to use social media to state his innocence and raise funds for his legal defense, and nothing more. Since that time, Stone has largely stuck to generic posts. But today he called for the death of someone who’s indirectly involved in his criminal case.

Roger Stone made an Instagram post this afternoon asserting that former CIA Director John Brennan must be convicted and “hung for treason.” The post has since been deleted, either by Stone or by Instagram, but not before a whole lot of people laid eyes on it and documented it. This is a clear cut violation of Instagram’s terms of service, so we’ll see if they finally ban him. But because Brennan was the CIA Director in 2016 while the Trump-Russia election plot was playing out, and because Brennan has since become the target of pro-Trump conspiracy theories, it’s fairly clear that this tweet is a violation of Stone’s bail.

It’ll be entirely up to Judge Jackson how she wants to handle this. She can put Roger Stone under house arrest, or throw him in jail, from now until the end of his trial. It’s not clear what set Stone off today, but the judge already told him he was down to his last chance, so we can expect her to take some action against him this week.
