RNC hits the panic button over Donald Trump’s legal bills

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Apparently, there is a five-alarm fire going on among Republicans. Thus concerns GOP fundraising. Some in the GOP are starting to quake in their boots — and for good reason.

One thing that is scaring Republicans silly are Donald Trump’s legal bills. Many worry that the Trump machine will drain dry their money to put toward Trump’s lawyers. The RNC is also finding that their fundraising numbers suck. They are trailing Democrats by “almost a three-to-one margin.”

So the GOP isn’t STARTING with a lot of money anyway. And now, of course, we have the elephant in the room — the orange elephant who needs money very, very badly and whose greedy eyes have fallen on the RNC.

Now, it’s been reported many Republicans are shaking their heads, wondering if they can catch up with Democrats at all. Then there’s what’s coming down the pike. Four orange Mack Trucks carrying Judges, Juries, trials and criminal sentences, are looming on the highway ahead.

Trump will need a lot of money to pay for ALL of these upcoming trials as his lawyers will have to be paid — and that’s not even counting the CIVIL judgments that also require payment.

All of this is leading to a group of VERY nervous Republicans who are wondering what in heck they WILL DO. $111,000. That is the amount of interest Donald Trump owes for every day he doesn’t pay the civil judgments. Republicans will need money for candidates, down-ballot, and House and Senate races. But there appears to be many issues in what is rapidly becoming their living nightmare.

In the meantime, some RNC commitments are signaling they do not WANT to foot Trump’s legal bills. Henry Barbour of Mississippi is one such person. He is attempting to draft resolutions that would keep much money from flowing to Trump, at least for the time being, but this may not work. At the rate Republicans are going, nothing short of a giant SOS signal — (and a speedy answer) — will help them.
