RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel just stuck her foot in her mouth yet again

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel cannot seem to open her mouth without embarrassing herself. It’s been happening again and again and again. We should, I suppose, be grateful to Ronna since she broke her own political party with her “ordinary citizens comment.”

But she won’t stop talking — and every time she says something, she makes the Grand Old Cult party look worse. McDaniel was doing an interview on — where else — Fox News. The lucky interviewer was Harris Faulkner.

Faulkner, of course, asked Ronna to address the comments made by Turtle McConnell. And once again, Ronna came out with a brilliant and profound statement. (sarcasm.) First, she blamed the media, who she said distorted her comments even though all anybody did, so far as I could tell, was repeat her remarks word for word. Not a great start.

But then Ronna did it again! Explaining that “disagreement in our party is welcome,” Ronna went on to declare Cheney and Kinzinger were a special case and deserved the censure — because they went “a step too far.”

OK. Let’s talk about this intellectually stimulating statement by McDaniel. WHAT is it supposed to mean? “A step too far.” So what were their sins again? Holding people accountable?

Wanting to see the psychos who threatened our police and the former VP in prison? Wanting the people who beat up our police held accountable? Ronna just can’t seem to stop putting her foot in her mouth. If she keeps this up, we’ll own the GOP by the time the midterms come around. Sounds good to me.
