Republicans are cursing themselves over this one

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

I am sure many of you have seen or heard about the film, “Wag the dog.” This film came out in 1997 and was about several people who fabricated a war to distract voters from a Presidential sex scandal. They go all in, even faking film footage of this nonexistent war.

I will say no more so as not to be a spoiler. But the film was indeed a success. The term “Wag the dog” is a regular part of our discourse. And right now, there is a bit of dog wagging going on. This is being done by Republican traitors who desperately are trying to change the subject from Donald Trump, abortion, and the GOP’s failed non-platform.

For example: Why is everybody SWEARING so much? This has been happening quite a bit lately. We’ve got Megyn Kelly saying F you to Dr. Fauci. We’ve got Marjorie Taylor Greene telling Joe Biden to go to hell. What on earth is going on?

They’re wagging the dog. It’s all a distraction. And this is what they do when the heat’s on them.

It has been one piece of bad news after another for the GOP. They’re not breaking through to the American people. Their numbers are falling. Even some in mainstream journalism are reporting on it.

So they’re cornered. And in a frantic effort to change the subject, they have decided to wage the dog. Don’t fall for it. In fact, the more hysterical they get, the more that means we’re winning.

It means we’re in their heads rent-free. They are scared, and like the cowardly people they are, they have to wag the dog more and more to try and get the public’s attention. It’s a quest for relevance by bitter pundits and politicians like Greene, who must know they’re widely regarded as jokes.

No matter what they do, they cannot break through, so they resort to wagging the dog, and their cries grow louder and more obviously hysterical and furious. And none of it will help them any. The only thing that might is some good policy proposals, and as we have seen, they have failed in that regard.
