Republican Sharia Law

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Sharia law. Have you noticed, readers and friends, that that term is being used more than ever these days — as it relates to the GOP? I’ve heard it countless times. The GOP wants to turn us into Sharia law. And I agree. How else to explain the sudden and radical turn to the right the GOP has been engaged in?

I’ve said it before. It saddens me to write these words. This country must have two functioning political parties. And we always did. We may have disagreed on policy, but that’s normal. At no point in recent history do I recall having to fight for ten-year-olds not to bear their rapists’ babies.

At no point do I remember us having to protect LGBTQ kids from their own Governors. Abortion. Gun reform. So many things the GOP has turned its back on because of their madness. And when moderate Republicans such as Liz Cheney try to get back to policy discussions, they’re pushed out by their own party.

The GOP needs to learn the lesson that’s been so prevalent in the American experiment. And that lesson is that this is the United States of America. Our American experiment relies on freedoms for ALL people. The Republican party seems to have forgotten that.

It’s like their souls did a deep-dive into the extremist mud-hole, and now they can’t sputter their way out. And that’s why they must lose, not just this next election in 2024, but numerous other ones. They have to realize that a majority of Americans do not want what they’re offering.

The majority of Americans don’t go to bed at night worrying about Trans athletes, whether ten-year-old girls have their rapist’s babies or the ten commandments being featured in school classrooms. The GOP has let its focus drift to things the majority doesn’t care about. Let’s show them that at the ballot box in 2024.
