Republican lust for violence spirals even more out of control

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The Grand Old Party should perhaps be renamed the “violent old party.” The GOP, who do not seem to care one iota about doing anything for the American people, sure do love them some violence.

In fact, so far as I can see, some of them seem to love violence way more than politics, though with the Republicans, violence and politics do seem to be interchangeable. The latest violence connoisseur is Missouri Senate candidate Eric Greitens. This particular Republican appears to enjoy violence in its purest form — campaign ads.

Greitens has released a campaign ad which is rather odd. The reason it is odd is because the crazy Missourian declares he’s going “RINO hunting” while cocking a shotgun. Subtle.

RINO as you might be aware is what Maga calls Republicans “in name only.” Continuing on its loopy path, the video shows this strange man breaking into a home. With him are men wearing hunting and military-style clothing.

“There’s no bagging limit, no tagging limit, and it doesn’t expire until we save our country.”

“Get a RINO hunting permit.”

“Order your RINO hunting permit today!”

Behold — the stupidest man in Missouri, folks! And that’s saying something since the show me state also has Josh Hawley. Poor Missouri.

“This is sociopathic.” This from Rep. Joaquin Castro. In fact, many sane and rational politicians condemned this “political” ad, which appears more like an ad for the film “Natural Born killers” than anything to do with politics.

Castro is also calling for television stations to refuse to play the ad. And he asks that any broadcasters who DO air it be referred to the FCC. Facebook actually removed the ad. Twitter slapped a warning on it.

Greitens is trying to get attention any possible way he can. He is a walking bucket of sleaze who, in the past, has been accused of everything from sexual misconduct to blackmail. He denies the accusations.

The Republican is going down a dark path with this ad but he isn’t the only Republican to do this kind of thing. Do you know what this ad shows us? It shows us that Republicans have no problem with violent imagery against their own, too — not just Democrats. Let’s hope this man doesn’t win.
