Republican Governor slams Donald Trump
It’s becoming more clear by the day that most Americans blame Donald Trump for his negligent and dishonest mishandling of the coronavirus crisis. With the death toll tragically rising, and Trump behaving more psychotically than ever, Republican Governors now face a choice of whether to go down with him or try to stand against him.
We’ve seen that people like Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis have decided to stick with Donald Trump to the bitter end. But a number of Republican Governors are quietly going against Trump’s insistence that the country be prematurely reopened and that everything will be magically fine. Maryland’s Republican Governor Larry Hogan went on CNN State of the Union today and stood against Trump rather loudly:
.
President Trump’s claim that states have enough tests to reopen “is just absolutely false,” says Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan. “It’s not accurate to say there’s plenty of testing out there and the governors should just get it done. That’s just not being straightforward.” #CNNSOTU pic.twitter.com/0K48hRAgzI
