Donald Trump goes nuts about Regis Philbin and Sean Connery in the middle of the G7 summit

We've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.

Donald Trump started off his G7 summit by misspelling Emmanuel Macron’s first and last name, then deleting it, then later misspelling his first and last name again. He also incoherently declared that “the media is destroying the free press,” leading to a thousand punchlines. So today, Trump tried taking a different tack. It didn’t work for him either.

If you can’t come off coherently while talking about foreign policy and world leaders, then maybe it’s easier to just start tweeting out birthday greetings. We’re not sure of the logic in that one, but Donald Trump apparently saw it as a viable plan for getting himself through day two of the G7 summit.

Donald Trump tweeted “Happy Birthday Sean!” today, in reference to Sean Connery, while he was supposed to be meeting with world leaders. Then a few minutes later Trump tweeted “Happy Birthday Regis, a truly special man!” Then three hours later, Trump tweeted “Happy Birthday Vince!” in reference to WWE boss Vince McMahon.

We checked, and these tweets didn’t come from a Trump parody account. Trump really did spend all day tweeting out birthday greetings to people in lieu of paying attention to what was going on at the G7 summit. We suppose we should be impressed that he spelled Regis, Sean, and Vince correctly. Then again, he did only tweet their first names.

It's been a tough week, a tough month, a tough year. For all of us. But the fight goes on. Because we know how important this is. Because we care. Because we're the ones who fight. It's you and me. It has been for a decade. And I'm never backing down. But Palmer Report does have operating expenses. And in this uncertain time, I truly need your help. For that reason I've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.
