Redemption Day

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Redemption. Such a strong and complicated word. And redemption is just what will happen on 4/4/2023 in New York City. It will be the redemption day of many – so let’s celebrate it. I chose to write about redemption mainly because of Stormy Daniels. Her horse is called redemption, and her new feature film movie is of the same name. Redemption is in the air.

And more than almost anyone, tomorrow will be Stormy’s moment. The woman has been villainized and maligned by Maga and, to an extent, many in the media. The bottom line is Stormy Daniels is a good part of why trump’s indictment is happening. And we all know it. And Stormy is so much more than the woman around whom this circus revolves. She is witty and clever, and now, her moment of redemption is at hand.

So too, is Michael Cohen’s. Michael Cohen has been used and abused by trump, and his hate posse to significant degrees. He’s had to pay for the sins of another. He was the ONLY one to go to jail for all this — while Bill Barr made sure the real person responsible skated away, free and clear.

So Tuesday is also the redemption day of Michael Cohen. He’s, of course, had many of them these last few months and years. But perhaps no other moment will feel so sweet, so ever-lastingly TRUE, so righteous — as Donald Trump’s surrender.

It is our moment of redemption too. I am proud to write for Palmer Report, one of the only media organizations to predict this day and hold steadfast. And so many of you have been patient and unwavering. Tuesday will be our celebration, our moment of visceral emotion, our redemption day.
