Donald Trump is having a really horrible night
It’s been nearly all bad news for Donald Trump for weeks on end: he’s losing the election in every poll, his scandals keep getting uglier, and he’s clearly slipping in the cognitive department to the point that his corrupt schemes keep getting less effective. Now Trump is having a truly terrible night.
First the New York Times reported that the New York grand jury – the one targeting Donald Trump for criminal indictment and seeking his tax returns in court – successfully obtained Trump’s financial records from Deutsche Bank several months ago. This means, essentially, that the grand jury already has Trump nailed. Then New York Attorney General Tish James revealed that she’s making a “major national announcement” tomorrow morning, in what could well be related to the criminal case against Trump. Then things got even worse.
What could be even worse for Donald Trump than finding out that he’s going to prison if he loses the election? A big part of Trump’s feeble reelection strategy has centered around posting deranged false things on social media, and hoping voters in the middle fall for it. But tonight Twitter and Facebook took punitive action against Trump’s accounts, in a sign that he won’t be able to get away with simply posting false things for the rest of the election cycle. Wow is Trump ever having a bad night – and it’s still only 11:00pm.
