“Really creepy”
Creepy. Donald John Trump is CREEPY. That is the new name given to him by — the former Prime Minister of Australia. Malcolm Turnbull commented on Trump’s “creepy” worship of the murderer Putin, saying Trump acts “in awe” of him.
“When you see Trump with Putin, as I have on a few occasions, he’s like the 12-year-old boy that goes to high school and meets the captain of the football team.”
“My hero”, he went on. “It’s really creepy.” Yes, it is. Trump acts toward Putin EXACTLY as his followers do to him. You know, I’ve thought about this — this need to be worshiped.
Ordinary people do not crave worship. The people closest to me are the ones who call me on my bullshit, are not afraid of me, offer tough love, and will tell me when I’ve screwed up.
These others who seek worship and blind devotion do it because there are holes inside them, holes that are gaping and empty, that instead of containing souls contain garbage dumps of need and arrogance which make up their persons and characters.
The GOP is heading in that direction as well. They are starting to act in increasingly creepy ways toward Putin. They are becoming obsequious to Putin themselves.
This fawning of the trembling and cowed courtiers, coupled with the fawning admiration both Trump and others in the GOP show to Putin, are deeply abnormal and unhealthy. One knows one has a problem when even the former Prime Minister calls it out.
